Daniel Saucier received a studentship grant from the New Brunswick Health Research Foundation (NBHRF) and the CIHR-SPOR-MSSU for his project “Urbanization, air pollution and proximity to water: Identification of amyotrophic lateral sclerosis environmental risk factors in New Brunswick”. Under the supervision of Professor Mathieu Bélanger, Daniel proposed an original research project that is directly related to the health of New Brunswickers and the mandate of the Maritime SPOR Support Unit.
