The Chronic Disease Prevention Research Laboratory is managed by Professor Mathieu Bélanger at the Centre de formation médicale du Nouveau-Brunswick. This laboratory is dedicated to the development of new knowledge necessary to improve, evaluate and apply the best interventions for dealing with physical inactivity, which is recognized as the most prevalent modifiable risk factor for chronic diseases and mortality in Canada. This laboratory is also involved in the pursuit of epidemiological studies on diabetes and other chronic diseases.
